Ergonomic laboratory application

Height-adjustable lab benches for shared users and changing work.

A height-adjustable laboratory bench can serve different users, alternate between seated and standing tasks, and bring precision work into a more comfortable reach zone.

What the workstation has to solve

Adjustment only adds value when the bench remains stable and the power, lighting, storage and equipment layout move together as one system.

01

Choose the adjustment method

Use the 6" leg-cap range for occasional setup changes, manual lift for easier occasional changes or electric lift for the easiest frequent movement.

02

Equipment clearance

Review overhead structures, cords and instrument heights across the full adjustment range.

03

Storage strategy

Select open, shelf-based or drawer-equipped configurations based on what should move with the surface.

From process to specification

Four details to resolve before the furniture schedule.

  1. 01
    Frequency of height changes

Define the users, tasks and adjustment frequency before selecting the adjustment method.

  2. 02
    User height range

Define the users, tasks and adjustment frequency before selecting the adjustment method.

  3. 03
    Seated and standing equipment

Capture dimensions, weight, reach and clearance rather than relying on equipment names alone.

  4. 04
    Cord travel and service loops

Map connection points and service paths before accessories occupy the same space.

SURFACE / 01

Material direction

Choose the surface first, then the adjustment method.

STK LABS height-adjustable platforms are available with phenolic, stainless skin and ESD laminate, so ergonomics do not require compromising the application.

What sizes are available?

Depending on the configuration, height-adjustable workstations are offered from 48 to 96 inches wide and 30 or 36 inches deep.
