Routine cleaning

Remove loose debris first, then use the mildest process that meets the facility requirement.

  • Use a clean, soft, non-abrasive cloth
  • Follow the cleaner manufacturer’s dilution and contact-time directions
  • Rinse residues when required and dry the surface
  • Test an inconspicuous area before adopting a new product

Phenolic surfaces

The supplied product information lists a 1" phenolic option. Obtain the current material-specific care guidance before approving a cleaning method.

  • Identify the exact cleaner and concentration
  • Record contact time, temperature and cleaning frequency
  • Confirm chemical and heat compatibility for the selected top
  • Follow the approved facility and surface-manufacturer procedure

Stainless-skin surfaces

Clean in the direction of the visible grain and avoid tools that can embed ferrous contamination.

  • Use non-abrasive cloths and compatible cleaners
  • Rinse chlorides and cleaner residues promptly
  • Do not use ordinary steel wool
  • Dry the surface to limit spotting

ESD laminate

An ESD work zone is a system, not just a surface.

  • Use only cleaners approved by the ESD program
  • Avoid waxes or films that can change electrical performance
  • Inspect grounding connections as part of the facility schedule
  • Test resistance at the frequency required by the control plan
